Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.

- Alice in Wonderland.

I really, really love the story of Alice in Wonderland. The whole idea of tumbling down a rabbit hole into an upside-down world of talking flowers and size-altering biscuits sounds incredible. Naturally, I love it when any of my outfits even mildly remind me of my favourite old stories, let alone Alice (if you read Lost in the Haze during my first days of blogging you might remember my Red Riding Hood or Cinderella posts). It really doesn’t take much to want to dress up like a book character. After all, my mother was a librarian, so what can I say – it’s in the family!

The start of spring didn’t quite have in mind what I thought it would.. I ride past the gardens almost daily on the bus, and it looks as though they are bursting with blossoms. But once we ventured inside it was hard to find any form of flower. Not that it really mattered; tip-toeing through overgrown paths in such a delicately embroidered dress (by Chicwish) made me feel just like Alice. Well, gazing down at the white rabbit & Alice rings I was wearing probably helped too! ; )

Oh , hello there! Today there was a slight chill in the air, so you know what that means.. Any time I possibly can, I pop on my vintage red nurse’s cape (!!) paired with red clogs (c/o Lotta From Stockholm) and a gingham asos dress – and feel completely like a certain miss red riding hood. It seemed only fitting to explore a deserted part of the woods, after all, I had to deliver a bunch of dandelions to my grandma..!

Have I ever mentioned my sweet tooth? Well, ‘sweet’ being an understatement.. More like my sugary, candied, syrupy, nectar tooth..! I love ice cream, candy, toffee apples, and cupcakes. Yum! Fizzy drinks are my ultimate favourite – and always have been, really! After slipping on this beautiful (x100000!) dress kindly sent to me by Pepa Loves, the shade of red made me desperate for a nice, cool glass of coca-cola. Talk about sugar addict, eh! The 30 degree Celsius weather was a bit of an influencer too, phew! Actually, speaking of which – I’m surprised that my lipstick managed to stay on! After a forty minute walk it really did feel like it was melting off my face..!

Back to the dress though – honestly, what a beauty, eh?! It’s covered in teeny tiny little bows and has a super low cut back; nothing could be greater! I matched it to my favourite pair of clogs (c/o Lotta From Stockholm) and like I said – my most-used shade of scarlet lipstick. Actually, my face was quite pink from the heatwave, so I suppose I accessorized that to my look too! ; )

Do you fancy a taste of this brew?

We’ve served up something sinister in the form of bubbling green liquid – garnished with an ever-appropriate serving of ivy.. Okay, I’ll admit – it may be nothing more than a vibrantly coloured fizzy drink, and I might not have even dared to try it with or without the garnish (one sniff was enough for me, thank you..!) but it does make a perfect addition as our ‘poison’, don’t you think?

As soon as this glimmering Motel bustier (c/o Zalando) arrived on my doorstep, one colour especially stood out for me. Any guesses? Green of course! Amidst the multicoloured sparkle is a bright shade of emerald green – a colour I love! It was the perfect shade to match this hidden ivy patch. I clamoured so far into the ivy that it started to grow all over me. Luckily I escaped just in time, phew!
