Sparkling on a Saturday

It’s taken me quite some time to adjust to wearing midi skirts – after all, I’m very much a tights and macro hemlines kind of girl! But as the weather cools down, I’m finding myself warming up to the longer lengths. I thrifted both the skirt and the 90s Versace top last week, and it couldn’t have come at a better time! Wearing longer lengths has actually revealed itself to be a perfect idea – today was far colder than I expected! It’s been reasonably warm and sunny all through the work week, but come the weekend and it suddenly becomes grey! Utterly bizarre! It was ideal for long walks though; and today I brought my Velorbis satchel with me as I ventured to weirdly unkempt park sections that I’ve never been to before! I recently started working full time, and while I’m at work, bored Barnaby goes for absolutely enormous walks. It is actually quite wonderful; I return home and he shows me his iPhone photographs of where he’s been. I’m then able to visit them at the weekend! He truly is the perfect location scout!

  1. You look wonderful. Love the skirt. Such an interesting style – especially with the stripes. Love how you paired the look with boat shoes. Such a cool laid back touch.

  4. I find midi lengths hard to wear too–think its because I never know what to wear on my feet and feel a bit dumpy.

But I love your skirt which makes me think maybe I should try harder.

  11. That skirt is absolutely PERFECT. I’ve been looking for a long/midi/maxi sweater skirt. Too bad (for me!) it’s thrifted~
