Make Your Own Chalk Glasses
Have you done something silly today? Dancing down the street, drawing a moustache on your finger, just.. Well.. Because! Go on, you know the sort. Silly things are fun. For no reason in particular. And I love ‘em. So much that I even started the day by wearing these crocodile socks. Yep, you know it’s going to be a good day when you’ve got those guys gnawing off your feet!
For a silly little project I decided to make a pair of chalkboard glasses (which you may have already seen in action on my Vine account – my username is Lost in the Haze!) I really wanted something cute to put up in the kitchen – and it just so happened that they made a good prop too! I even used them to display today’s lunch special – soup and bread, nom nom nom!
It’s quite a straight forward project really. Use a paintbrush and chalkboard paint. Apply 2-3 layers on a pair of old frames. When it has dried, roll a piece of chalk across the paint to make it grip better. Finish off by drawing on whatever you like with a piece of chalk. My favourite was drawing on the silly eyes. They reminded me of what I always wanted to do at school – have fake eyes so I could sleep my way through the lessons! Teehee, don’t mind if I do! Zzz..!
