Burgers, Fries, & a Drink: In Miniature!

Now who doesn’t love a food post? I have recently become addicted to gummy junk food! It is simply the best! I have a particular weakness for the pizzas and burgers (my tummy is grumbling even thinking about them!) On today’s quest to stock up on my gummy supply, I decided to wear a top that I sewed myself! Sewing is a skill I’m trying desperately to improve on, and this is the result! It is the first actual garment I’ve ever finished, and I’ve been wearing it constantly! I picked up the vintage fabric for $10 and have been having oh-so much fun practicing my sewing skills with it! I’m currently constructing a pair of matching shorts for the top! Two-piece playsuits are one of my absolute favourite things – I can’t wait for it to be finished!

  1. That fabric is gorgeous and the sleeves look so amazing!! Great job, Jo! I can’t wait to see the shorts! Designing and crafting your own clothes sounds so wonderful, and your style is so unique! I love it!

And mmm, I love both real burgers and fries and gummies!! If only they tasted the same, hehe <3

  2. Ha awesome/true statement – gummy sweets, especially ones where you can pretend you are a giant devouring a 3 course meal :) I love the horse themed attire – looking forward to seeing the playsuits!

  3. The top looks great! Sewing is something I want to get more into as well. I made three skirts recently but haven’t debuted them on the blog yet. All in time…
Ps – you have such an adorable blog! And I love your photographs!

  4. I’m not a huge fan of gummy sweets… give me chocolate any day! But love the idea of the home made two piece! Can’t wait to see the result.

  5. A few of my friends are really handy with the sewing machine but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to master it! I’m convinced that it is possible to turn a skirt into shorts (FYI it isn’t!). We started up a vintage clothing store on Facebook and you can check out some of our customized vintage items :)))

  7. The pattern on your shirt is so sweet. How cool that you made it yourself. Those little gummy foods though… cute but I think their super gross. Glad there is someone in the world who can stand them.

  13. Man! I’ve never tried those little gummy guys. I’ve always been intrigued by them, but there’s something about the opaque look of the gelatin that gives me the heebie jeebies. Now, that I know they’re delicious, I’m totally taking the plunge! Tiny hot doggies, here I come!

  14. Ha! I ate all the gummies out of my girls’ Halloween buckets. Hey, they’re choking hazards, right? :) I love 2-piece playsuits too so I can’t wait to see how yours turns out!

  15. Oh cute cute cute. I love miniatures. A Japanese shop down the road has the greatest stock of food shaped squishy key rings and erasers shaped like cake, pizzas, sofa sets, and everything in between. I think you’d love it!

  16. Those fries look certainly yummy! I’m much more on the salty side, though, I would really go for the real fries! I’m amazed at people who can sew, that’s something I gotta take up some day in my life. :) Great job with your top! Also thank you so much for your comment on my blog, come and visit whenever you like :)
