Macaroons on a Monday

…Well, they were meant to be on a Monday! I was having quite a rotten day yesterday and decided to cheer myself up with macaroons. After uni I drove all the way to the store, but alas it was shut! As I’m sure you can imagine, I dreamt of macaroons that night! I had many hours to ponder over the flavours, and today I was finally able to make my purchase! I chose a pistachio and cherry mix, wild cherries, bitter chocolate, and milk chocolate. The wild cherry was my favourite! Yum yum yum!

The  elbow patch cardigan I’m wearing is a cute purchase from a wonderful vintage store in the tiny town of Oxford! Thank you to Georgia of thevelvettes for the recommendation!

  2. Oh how nice of you to mention me! It’s funny, I live just around the road from J’aime Les Macarons and yet I’ve never ventured a visit! Perhaps I’ll have to wander down someday soon.

  3. They look so cute, those macaroons!
I had one a while ago – maybe 2 weeks ago and it wasn’t that great. It was my first ever macaroon and I really wasn’t expecting it to be so chewy? lol.

    You look great as usual!

I think macaroons are so nice to look at, but I've never tried one! Bakeries here are starting to catch on to the trend so I will have to treat myself soon~
