As you have probably heard, the city of Christchurch has suffered a massive earthquake. The damage is simply unbelievable. The city is covered in a constant layer of dust. The hot water cylinder in my flat was ripped off the wall, and as a result all three floors are flooded. Everything in my flat is broken – the TV, plates, computers; everything. The fridge has tipped over and food and coffee is everywhere. We were able to get together a bag of essentials, before quickly leaving. We are staying at one of the few places in Christchurch that has power and water. I just wanted to let everyone know that I’m okay, but of course blogging will be delayed.
