Building outfits is a strange process – as you’re never really quite sure what is going to set you going on any particular day. See, this dress, I think it is (ridiculously) beautiful; between the baroque print and cut out detailing – and sure, my Swedish Hasbeens clog boots have single handedly been getting me through winter. I tried something a little different on this day, though, and instead of reaching for my usual scarlet Maybelline lippy, I opted for a shade of – dare I say it – brown.

Brown lipstick. It conjures up images of noughties J Lo (not quite what I’m going for) or basically anyone in the nineties. It was just the way to go though, and all in all, I’m pretty happy about how this outfit turned out overall. I think it has some pretty strong Autumn vibes going through, but hey, for a first time trying out brown lippy, I think it’s pretty good.
